Bufin respects intellectual-property rights and expects its users to do the same. Bufin hosts very little public user content, mostly roadmap proposals and reviews: but we provide this policy so there's a clear, fair process if a copyright problem ever comes up.

1. Your content must be yours

When you submit anything to a public part of Bufin (a roadmap proposal, a review, a public bug report), you confirm that you own it or have the right to post it, and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights. See the Terms of Service for the full licence terms.

2. Reporting alleged infringement

If you believe content on Bufin infringes your copyright, email [email protected] with "COPYRIGHT" in the subject and include: (a) your contact information; (b) a description of the copyrighted work you say was infringed; (c) the exact location (URL or where in the app) of the material you want removed; (d) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the rights-holder, its agent, or the law; (e) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the rights-holder or authorized to act on their behalf; and (f) your physical or electronic signature.

3. What we do next

When we receive a complete, good-faith notice, we'll review it and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to the material and notify the person who posted it. Because Bufin holds little user content, most issues can be resolved quickly and directly.

4. Counter-notice

If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to the same address, including: your contact information; identification of the material and where it appeared; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification; and your signature. We'll pass a valid counter-notice along to the complainant.

5. Repeat infringers

We will, in appropriate circumstances, disable or terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe others' intellectual-property rights.

6. Trademarks and brand

"Bufin", the Bufin logo, and our page designs are ours. Third-party names and logos shown in the app (for example, bank or brand icons used to label your own transactions) belong to their respective owners and are used only for identification.
